Backpack Day 2014

Community Resource Federal Credit Union gave away 100 backpacks filled with school supplies to school age children in the Sheridan Hollow neighborhood on Wednesday, August 27, 2014.  Employees also handed out 40 gift bags to pre-school age children.

“School supplies, which can cost $75 to $100, are simply too expensive for these families to buy for their children. We provide the backpacks and school supplies so the kids can start school with the basic tools they need to be successful students,” said Wendy Meola, Director of Marketing for Community Resource Federal Credit Union.

Community Resource Federal Credit Union works with Interfaith Partnership for the Homeless year-round, raising money for its programs and helping with the Summer Youth Program and Holiday Meal.
